The Wedding:
Thoughts: Ever dream of a veil that matches your wedding dress? That’s exactly what our September bride, Lauryn, wanted! She came to us looking to have a matching, 75" cathedral length veil make from other aspects of her wedding dress. It was quite the endeavor to preserve as much of the original tulle and lace as possible to repurpose it for the veil. Every piece of embroidered lace had to be carefully removed and repositioned without damaging them. There were over 30 pieces of individual embroidered pieces of lace that needed to be placed and sewed hand to the the veil. We are so happy that Lauryn loves her customized veil and we love final look on her wedding day! The Process We took the top skirt overlay from her wedding dress and repurposed it into her ideal veil. We had to carefully remove the delicate lace from the skirt to reposition at the bottom of this nearly cathedral length veil. We also rounded out the bottom to match her inspiration pics and create this beautiful arch in the lace. Each piece of lace was lovingly hand stitched on. We also reused the satin belt of the skirt to trim the fabric and attach its new comb.
